The app logo, round 2: seven candidates side by side on every surface

Your words (IV-20261015-08, P-816): "ask 12 for three more alternatives of the logo thought by 12; add another one that keeps the log as is but when the word voltar is visible, it switches the o for a turnig back arrow. for each surface design the candidates sid by side for easier comparison."

Route: Identidade (12 → you → build). Nothing is built until you choose. Round 1: D95 (A, B, C).

The seven candidates

Every row below shows the seven in the same order (A to G), at the same size, so you compare across a row. Rows are at real size. On a narrower screen a row wraps onto a second line (A to D, then E to G, on an iPad held upright; one row of seven held sideways).

1 · Phone sign-in screen (360 wide), where the logo is biggest

The brand block of the «Entrar» screen at its real size today (pin 40 px, wordmark 30 px). The same block heads the «Desligar resumo» screen. Dark: the app has no dark theme today; the dark row shows the rule the e-mail already uses in dark mode (white pin, light wordmark), so you see each candidate on a dark surface.

2 · Desktop top bar (1440 wide), left end

Real size today: pin 24 px, wordmark 20 px, gap 4 px (the bar added on 30 September, your IV-20260930-14).

3 · E-mail header and footer

Real size of the e-mails on main: header pin 31 px, wordmark 24 px; footer pin 21 px, wordmark 16 px. Dark mode swaps the carmine pin for a white one (your P-506, already built).

4 · Browser tab icon, 16 px

The title «voltar · Lista» is the browser's own text: no candidate can change it, G included.

Actual size 32 px and 16 px, then the 16 px icon rasterised and enlarged 4 times (what the pixels really are)

5 · Phone home-screen icon, 60 px

iPhone (rounded square, the phone rounds it) and Android (circle). The name under the icon is the phone's own text. Android uses the art re-centred at 96 % (identity spec §5.2) for A, B, G; for C to F the same scale is used, re-centring not computed.

Widths at 16 px are computed from the paths in this page at the tab-icon scale (the mark fills 22 of 32 units, so 1 unit = 0.344 px) [cond: path geometry of this page · tile scale 0.6875 at 16 px · computed by the 12 from the coordinates, not measured on screen · 2026-10-15 15:10]. My recommendation: G, your idea

Why G. It keeps the pin you approved (P-45) exactly where recognition matters most, the tab icon and the phone icon, where the pin is the only thing people see and is already installed. It adds "come back" only where there is room for it, inside the word, and a round arrow keeps the round shape of an «o», so «voltar» still reads as «voltar» at 16 px (row 3, footer). Unlike B and D, no fine detail has to survive at 16 px.

What the render showed, and what I correct. At the real sign-in size (wordmark 30 px) the arrow reads as a pointed end on an open «o»: the arrowhead rises about 1 px above the «v» and its tip points up and right; at the e-mail footer (16 px) the «o» is about 10 px wide and the arrow is a small notch [cond: this page, D100 v5 · 1440 · static, V0 n/a · headless Chromium capture at scale 4 by the 14 · 2026-10-15 15:38]. So the word stays readable everywhere, but the arrow is a detail you notice, not something you see at a glance. I still recommend G for that reason: the name never suffers. If you choose G, the arrow is redrawn once by hand as artwork at large size before the 09 builds it; this mock draws it in code.

What it costs. The wordmark stops being plain text in five places (sign-in, «Desligar resumo», desktop top bar, e-mail header, e-mail footer). In the app that is an inline drawing with the name «voltar» for screen readers; in the e-mail it becomes a picture, so with pictures off the reader sees the word as text, and dark mode needs a second picture, as the pin already has.

One line on each.

  • A, today: the safe choice; nothing changes and nothing is lost, but nothing says "come back".
  • B, round 1: the right idea in the wrong place; the arrow is 0.86 px wide in the tab icon and turns into a blob.
  • C, round 1: the name stops reading as «voltar» at a glance; the weakest.
  • D, new: the best of the new marks, the arrow is the whole head of the pin so it survives small; second choice if you want the icon itself to change.
  • E, new: "again" needs explaining; two pins say "a list of places" first.
  • F, new: a strong silhouette at 16 px, but it gives up the pin that ties the logo to Mapa.
  • G, your idea: recommended; the meaning lives in the word, the proven pin stays.

Never combine D and G: two return arrows side by side say the same thing twice.

Not shown

The install-instructions screen uses the pin alone (same as the tab icon column). The e-mail sender name and subject, the tab title and the name under the phone icon are system text; no candidate can change them. Inter is loaded from your machine if installed; otherwise the wordmark falls back to the system font, which changes the width of «voltar» slightly.
